International Abacus Olympiad

The students at Harrow Shenzhen International School exhibited exceptional dedication and demonstrated the true value of honour by participating in last month’s Abacus Maths Competition. Each student, among over 13,000 global participants, performed exceptionally well, showcasing their utmost effort and skill.

Congratulations to Andrew (6GF) and Chelsea (5AG) for securing 2nd and 3rdplace, respectively. Special recognition goes to our gold certificate winners: Jayden (3MC), John (3AS), Jacob (4DR), Steven (5AG), Habin (6EL), and Winfred (6EL).

LAMDA Success

We are delighted to share the impressive results from our recent LAMDA exams, where 94% of our students achieved passing marks!

Highlights include 39% of students earning Distinction and 53% receiving Merit.

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is a leading authority in the UK for certification in speech and drama skills. The LAMDA exams are internationally recognized assessments that utilize recitation, public speaking, and dramatic performance, effectively integrating English language learning, quality education, and competency evaluation.

SIYPC Singapore International (Junior) Piano Competition

Congratulations to Angel, a Year 4 student at Harrow Shenzhen International School, for her outstanding performances at the 2024 SIYPC Singapore International (Junior) Piano Competition! Angel secured 2nd place in the Schumann Composition category and also received the prestigious Commemorative Medal in the Junior B category.

Notably, Angel also earned a gold medal in the 2023 Forbes China Youth Dance Competition.

The 10th Shenzhen Junior Golf Open

On 9-10th November, the 10th Shenzhen Junior Golf Open Competition brought excitement to Mission Hills, Dongguan!

Team Competition: Huge applause to our HarrowShenzhen team—Mike from Year 2, along with Kevin, Austin, and Joe from Year 5—for securing an impressive 7th place after two days of intense competition!
Individual Highlights: Extra cheers for 5EL’s Kevin, Austin, and Joe for earning the NewTalent Award, and a special shoutout to 2DR’s Mike, who took home the Group D Championship trophy!

Equestrian Competition

At the recently concluded FEI CSI*2024 Equestrian Show Jumping City Series Elite Competition (Guangzhou Station), the young riders from Harrow Shenzhen won many awards.

– Congratulations to Milo (Y6) for earning second place in the 105CM special competition and third place in the 60CM competition.

– Congratulations to Alexandra (Y3) for securing fourth place in the 30CM category.

Harrow Swimming Gala

We’re excited to share that the Harrow Shenzhen Swimming Team made waves at the GBA Swimming Gala in Zhuhai, competing alongside our Harrow family: Harrow Zhuhai, Harrow Hong Kong, Harrow Nanning, and the Hong Kong Children’s School.

Across a total of 64 events, our team showcased incredible talent and determination, ultimately securing 26 medals and finishing 2nd overall.
