The number of offers received from the world’s top 50 universities, Russell Group, and G5 elite institutions

has increased by 273%, 360%, and 108%, respectively, compared to the previous year.

*The Lester B. Pearson Scholarship is one of the most competitive and prestigious scholarships in the world, awarded annually to just 37 outstanding students from around the world, with an acceptance rate of less than 2%.

 

Fascinated by the “magic” of aeroplanes and their ability to soar through the sky, Karen has been deeply interested in mathematics and science since childhood. Her interests spanned electrical engineering, programming, and computer science. During her university application, Karen chose to specialise in Computer Engineering, and looks forward to advancing the fields of autonomous driving and green energy vehicles, contributing her wisdom and passion to global energy and environmental sustainability.

Not only do our teachers continually create opportunities to unlock each student’s potential and broaden their horizons, but they also utilise a comprehensive university counselling programme to assist with early planning. Karen’s passion for science and engineering was cultivated at Harrow Shanghai through personalised support and encouragement. Beyond classroom instruction, her teachers motivated her to challenge herself in various mathematics, chemistry, and physics Olympiads, helping Karen strive for even higher achievements.

Our A-Levels offer students a wide choice of arts and science subjects, allowing them to delve deeply into various fields and discover their passions.

Before joining Harrow Beijing, I had never been exposed to drama and never thought that someone as introverted as me would be able to perform on stage. However, under the guidance of my performing arts teacher, I began to learn acting, took part in LAMDA extracurricular classes, and eventually played lead roles in musicals for two consecutive years. I made many like-minded friends along the way.” 

In literature and drama classes, Christina explored many works on female themes, deepening her understanding of gender studies and influencing her decision to choose related fields in the university.

The application systems of the UK and the US are very different.  The way activities and achievements are presented in the essays must differ. UK universities place more emphasis on academic achievement, while US universities focus on personal interests and values. In both my UK and US applications, every subject teacher wrote a recommendation letter for me, and my university counsellor supported me in revising my essays. All this support was incredibly helpful.”
