As the Chinese Lunar New Year approaches,
the festive atmosphere is spreading.
A grand celebration unfolds at
Harrow International School Shenzhen
to commemorate the Year of the Snake.

Harrow Shenzhen, a diverse and integrated international community, welcomed families from across the globe to celebrate this festival.

Let’s share the joy
of this occasion!

In the auditorium, the Lion Dance took the spotlight, weaving through the sounds of gongs and drums, accompanied by the cheers of students. We could feel the intersection of powerful traditions and modern vitality. Mr Daniel Berry, the Head Master of Harrow Shenzhen, applied cinnabar to the eyes and forehead of the lion, completing the eye-dotting ceremony. This act symbolizes the courage to explore the world and solve problems with wisdom in the new year.

Amid laughter and cheerful voices, our lower school pupils waved their little hands, recalling childhood rhymes in their innocent and carefree manner. The singing, along with the expressive performances, garnered applause from the audience in appreciation of the children’s efforts.

As friends of Harrow—our esteemed parent representatives delivered a heartfelt performance of the song “Boundless Love,” honouring the theme of maternal love.

The final performance of “Gongxi Gongxi” truly brought the celebration to life. What we create at this moment are not just memories but also an infinite longing for the future.
